During our recent trip to the northeast, we had the opportunity to take a tour of Independence Hall.  This painting was hanging in the east wing. Being in such a historic place was something that is difficult to put into words.  Having been to Washington, D.C., the feeling was not the same.  While their is a great appreciate for our nation’s capital, much more was at stake during this period in Philadelphia.  It was a matter of life and death.

As we crammed into the small room, the park ranger asked the question I posed above.  In this painting, what document was being signed?

In today’s article, I answer this question and offer some insight into what true leadership looks like.  Here’s an excerpt:
