What Podcasts I am Listening to and Why You Should Too

When was the last time you set aside some time to invest in yourself?

How many of you have added podcasts to your arsenal of learning?  Until recently, this was something I only heard about and dismissed.  While preparing for our summer vacation, I took the opportunity to do some research on podcasts.  What I found was an amazing amount of value, which I downloaded and listened to while traveling.

First of all, there is an app in the iTunes store for “podcast”.  Once you have downloaded the app, you can now begin searching for topics or people you would like to listen to.

I was blown away by how much FREE content there is out there and how few people are taking advantage of it.  For people like me, the beauty of podcasts is they tend to be short, meaning you do not have to invest much time to get the nuggets you were looking for.

Below, I have listed several of the people I listen to on a regular basis, and think each of them will add value to you.

This Is Your LifeMichael Hyatt is the former publisher and CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing.  He is the author of the New York Times Bestseller, Platform, and the founder of Platform University.  His podcast provides an amazing depth of topics, and always includes a section of Q&A based on questions received from his blog readers.

HBR Ideacast – This is something Harvard Business Review provides, and I have found it to be fascinating.  They focus on those authors and professors who have typically contributed to their magazine, and most of them are structured in an interview format.  I recently listened to one about motivation which blew my mind.  I have included a link to the story here, which you can access the podcast from as well.

Entreleadership – This podcast was launched from the New York Times Bestselling book, Entreleadership by Dave Ramsey.  Many topics involving running and operating small businesses.

I would encourage you to take the next step in learning.  I promise you will not be disappointed.
