31 Days and Counting…How are you doing?

How are the New Year’s resolutions?

Did you make any for the year?  I made some goals for the year, but they looked different from what I have done in the past.  I wanted to think through a way for you to succeed, even if you have fallen off the resolution band wagon.

Often when we are thinking about New Year Resolutions, we go too far to quickly.  When this happens it is very easy for us to simply throw in the proverbial towel.  How many of you have already done this?  If you have, I would like to give you a challenge.  Take one more step.

If your goal was to lose a certain amount of weight, set a smaller goal and work on achieving it.  If your goal was to quit smoking, redouble your efforts, and remember that very few people ever quit on their first attempt.  If your goal was to spend more time with your family, but the first 31 days of 2013 don’t look much different that the last 365 in 2012, recommit today!

Should we have goals?  Yes.  If we don’t hit them, should we just throw everything out?  No.  Look for ways to take one more step.  This one more step is what separates you from all of the others who won’t!

Take one more step!

How are you doing?  What have you found that helps you keep your resolutions?
