My Mother-in-Law, Barbara Ruff Remembered

Today is a tough day for our family.  My wife and sister-in-law say goodbye to their mother.

She will be remembered by her great talents and passions she blessed so many with.  I remember the first time I met her, she had prepared an amazing dinner.  She was such a wonderful cook, and yes I do like to eat.

Many people were blessed by her incredible ability to sew.  My daughter loves to wear the dresses Grandmommy made for her.

As a former school teacher, she blessed the lives of so many young people in Memphis and Shelby County.  Barbara loved her students and she was the teacher you wanted your children to have.

She loved her church, Second Presbyterian, and was a faithful member for a number of years.  Going on numerous mission trips, she truly understood what Jesus meant when He said “GO”!

One of the ministries she was active with locally was taking communion into the homes of those who were unable to come to church.  As the grandson of a 92 year old grandmother who receives communion in her home, I have a deep appreciation for what she did for so many.

We are most thankful for her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with whom she is with today!

We love you Barbara!
